SFG Engineering Services seeks a motivated individual for a permanent Sales & Business Development role in Thermal Power Solutions. This position involves developing business opportunities across sub-Saharan Africa, maintaining customer relationships, and executing strategic sales plans to enhance company growth. Sales & Business Development – Thermal Power Solutions
Main Purpose
The main purpose of the position is to continuously develop and grow the Thermal Power Solutions (steam turbines, gearboxes and turbo generator sets) business throughout sub-Saharah Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Maintain and actively promote the sale of company Thermal Power Solutions within the existing customer base.
Research new market opportunities and develop and generate new sales leads.
Obtain information on competitor’s products, pricing, policies and business strategies.
Establish and maintain strong and lasting customer relationships, thereby increasing the customer base.
Plan, develop and implement (in conjunction with management) strategies to increase turnover and meet sales targets in strategically identified areas in sub-Saharan Africa.
Identify appropriate business support channels to support the growth of the Thermal Power Solutions Business in strategically identified geographical areas.
Visit assigned customers according to planned calling schedules.
Cold calling on new customers.
Conduct regular sales calls to follow up, obtain feedback and support the establishment of new opportunities.
Plan the appropriate amount of time spent in large countries and cities, with a focus on best growth strategies and sales opportunities.
Be responsible for planning of all Thermal Power Solutions business sales related activities.
Prepare and present updated company Thermal Power presentations to potential customers.
Obtain enquiries, assist with quotation process and follow-up to conclusion.
Maintain close contact with the Services team and track all possible opportunities for replacement of old Thermal Power equipment with new equipment.
Assist Thermal Power Solutions Manager in preparation of budgets, estimated potential and planned profitability per customer.
Support activities within the company to ensure commitments to customers are kept.
