Job Description

Reporting to the Sales & Business Development Director, we are seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to join our team in South Africa.

You will be responsible for creating new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing customer relationships, and delivering customer solutions in the MEA region. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Identifying strategic partner prospects and supporting the establishment of these relationships.
  2. Developing new potential client connections and networks.
  3. Matching appropriate products/services to meet client needs.
  4. Creating plans to generate new business opportunities and win new customers.
  5. Preparing and leading key deals to successful closure.
  6. Providing customer and market insights to support the development of the go-to-market strategy.
  7. Translating market feedback into guidance for product strategies.
  8. Collaborating across the EMEA team to maximize sales opportunities.
  9. Traveling to customer locations within the region as needed.

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, capable of closing complex deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with effective presentation abilities.

  • Proven track record of breaking into and scaling new accounts.
  • Persuasive team player, capable of driving consensus.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences, with maturity in dealing with diverse clients.
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) — essential for engaging with clients in Francophone Africa.
  • Ability to communicate complex value propositions clearly to MNOs, fintech partners, and OEMs.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in security products and/or telecom devices/services.
  • Business development experience at a technology company.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Hands-on experience with various sales techniques.
  • Experience working with mobile network operators, MVNOs, or telecom regulators.
  • Experience with financial service providers, especially in digital lending or mobile money.
  • Proven success in selling technology solutions in emerging markets.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the mobile device ecosystem, service providers, and mobile app protection.
  • Knowledge of security solutions.

Qualifications

Degree, MBA, or relevant experience.

Additional Information

  • Location: Must be based in a Francophone country in Africa (e.g., Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, DRC).
  • Approximately 30% regional travel within the MEA region.
