Job description

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development Management, analytical, or related roles in the rail, transport, or logistics industry.
  • Strong financial and costing skills, with a solid command of Microsoft Excel and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing tender documents and delivering professional presentations.
  • Well-organised, with strong administrative and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of information and work effectively under pressure.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a BCom (Honours) degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably, a Postgraduate qualification in Business or a related field.
  • Communication & Relationship Management:
  • Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, from senior management (including CEO) to staff members.
  • Work with the Commercial Director, CEO, Rail Reform (RSA) Manager and other leadership to engage with existing and potential clients, including government bodies.
