Our client, a dynamic and purpose-driven investment and advisory firm, is seeking a Sales / Business Development Analyst to join their Business Development team in Johannesburg. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while sharpening your strategic, analytical, and business development skills in a values-led environment.

The Role

As a Sales / BD Analyst, you will support the end-to-end business development function by turning market intelligence, client insights, and internal processes into effective growth strategies. You’ll play a key role in lead generation, proposal development, reporting, and cross-functional coordination—ensuring the firm remains agile, informed, and ready to convert opportunities into results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support proposal development by translating client needs into structured proposals and managing the process across teams
  • Maintain and analyze a market intelligence database to identify new opportunities
  • Coordinate sales rhythms (e.g., pipeline reviews, forums, team sessions) and prepare relevant reports
  • Update and streamline content libraries, case studies, and proposal templates
  • Support client engagements with background research, meeting preparation, and internal debriefs
  • Collaborate with marketing and business units to ensure brand-aligned and relevant messaging

What We’re Looking For

️ Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related area is advantageous

️ Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in management consulting or a similar support role
  • Exposure to proposal development (full or partial)
  • Background in impact investing, SME development, or investment consulting preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel (costing models, reporting)
  • Confident communicator with excellent organizational and coordination skills
