Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Senior Growth Manager who is primarily responsible for identifying sales leads and attracting new clients and pitch opportunities for the Company.

The incumbent will also be responsible for devising relevant business development strategies for out-of-scope growth of existing clients and serve as the 'face of' Business Development for the Company.

The role will work closely with the MD on delivering leading, high-quality and value-added creative solutions to our new and existing clients.

What will you do? Business Development

  1. Business Development to sell, bring in opportunities and build pipeline for the business.
  2. Ensure that the client revenue target assigned to this role is achieved annually, with quarterly check-ins.
  3. Have active sales leads in the pipeline at any given time.
  4. Build healthy new business pipeline for the first 2 quarters ahead of time, made up of both sold-in work and prospects to be converted.
  5. Attract new clients through the development and implementation of a new client prospects pipeline as well as a new client wish list, personal industry contacts, procurement teams, PR and conferences, daily visits on marketing blogs and LinkedIn networking.
  6. Act as pitch lead and provide client and category insight and contribution on all opportunities brought in.
  7. Deliver quality and relevant client and market insight to strengthen new business and pitch process and optimise identification of new business opportunities.
  8. Be an ambassador for the Company's brand, using personal and professional networks to build the Company's profile in the market.
  9. On occasion, support Client Service team on existing client growth – working on out-of-scope opportunities with existing clients.

What do you need?

  1. Advertising agency background, within a Client Service or Business Development role.
  2. Proven experience in marketing and brand building, with a strong lean into strategy.
  3. Ability to build a pitch deck, based on what will win given the objectives, clients and brand.
  4. Ability to think like a client from a strategic, creative, consumer and brand perspective.
  5. An awareness, interest and appetite around popular culture, what is happening in South Africa and Africa and how this affects the work we put together for the clients.
  6. Ability to listen to a client and hear what their business problem is in order to solve it.
  7. Ability to think about proactive solutions for the clients.
