Position Overview

As a Sales Solutions Generalist, you'll provide each customer with the best experience possible by helping them find and purchase animals, supplies, and services.

During each interaction, you will discuss the needs of the guest and their pets to provide solutions for today and in the future, connecting them with a Specialist when appropriate.

You will work the cash register and ensure merchandise is properly stocked and priced, providing an excellent experience for each guest.

You can excel in this role by exhibiting a passion for animal welfare, health, and proper handling, and being a positive team partner within the Pet Care Center.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide a great experience by engaging with guests using your skills and training.
• Assist guests in selecting merchandise based on their needs.
• Demonstrate interest in animal welfare, health, and handling.
• Process transactions to create a positive guest experience.
• Generate future business through understanding guests and their pets.
• Support the Pet Care Center in achieving sales goals.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed well.
• Apply training to maintain expertise.
• Adhere to operational policies and procedures.
• Promote teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to leadership as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to work successfully within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sales, retail, or related fields.
• Knowledge of pet nutrition and sales aptitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.

Additional Information

• Availability for evening, weekend, overnight, and holiday shifts.
