International adventure and sport accessory company is opening up a store in Somerset West.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and sales driven shop assistant to market their brand and service their customers.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • 1-2 years experience within a similar role
  • Keen interest in adventure sports would be advantageous
  • Merchandising experience
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly store financial objectives by striving for monthly Target– maximizing profitability & meeting sales targets
  • Ensure directives are followed through with direction of Store Manager
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training set by Store Manager
  • Promoting and marketing the business at events or as directed from Management
  • Prepare promotional displays with the Store Manager
  • Positive follow through of store promotions – Making customers aware of promotions
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Ensure prompt turnaround time on feedback
  • Ensure a high level of customer service to grow customer pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Dealing efficiently with customer queries & complaints
  • Ensure products are barcoded
  • Ensure daily store counts are conducted efficiently
  • Inform any stock losses immediately to your Store Manager
