The Sales and Marketing Manager must have experience in Fabrication and Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience :
- Matric / Grade 12 or N3
- Diploma or Degree (Marketing or BCom)
- Technical qualification would be advantageous
- 10 years' experience in Fabrication and Engineering
- Proven track record of sales strategy development and implementation
- Ability to work to- and report on goals and targets
- Proven track record of managing a sales team, motivating and mentoring team members to perform at their best
- Ability to prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, analyze data, build reports, and make strategic recommendations based on data and trends
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop a sales strategy with the EXCO team to expand the customer base, build existing client relationships, and drive company growth
- Manage the Sales team, mentoring and developing them to achieve strategic goals
- Maintain close interface with the estimating department, ensuring understanding of key selling points for each enquiry
- Undertake needs analysis on client enquiries, distinguishing between budget enquiries and real project opportunities
- Manage the Sales team and report weekly and monthly to management and EXCO, assisting with sales planning
Additional duties include:
- Building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Identifying competition and market trends to adapt the sales strategy accordingly
To be successful, candidates should:
- Engage in cold calling, client meetings, and developing the client base
- Present the company to clients both formally and informally
- Follow the established Sales Journey to approach enquiries effectively and secure project orders
- Assist in generating client quotations and present solutions addressing key selling points
- Negotiate tender and contract terms
- Close deals effectively
- Record and maintain client enquiries, status updates, strategies, successful sales, and contact data
- Coordinate sales projects, roadshows, and marketing initiatives, including attending trade shows
- Manage the company's LinkedIn profile, posting regularly about achievements
Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing the company website
- Performing ad hoc duties as required
