The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead and improve the performance of both Internal and External Sales teams, including the integration of the DRC office into the broader Sales Department. A key responsibility is to drive The Company's strategic growth across South Africa and targeted African markets—Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zimbabwe—by leveraging existing networks in the mining and industrial sectors in the DRC and South Africa.
This role focuses on expanding The Company's presence in new territories, identifying opportunities, and building sustainable business relationships. The Manager will develop and implement sales strategies, track performance, analyze market trends, and align sales efforts with regional demands. Responsibilities include setting targets, managing training schedules, and ensuring all sales tools are optimized.
As the central figure in sales initiatives, the Manager will oversee detailed planning, resource allocation, and goal achievement. Strong skills in strategy, leadership, budgeting, and analysis are essential. The ideal candidate is a results-driven communicator and proactive problem solver.
Additional duties include contract negotiations, supporting marketing campaigns, adjusting sales targets, and overseeing inventory, vendor relations, and operational compliance. Cross-functional collaboration is key to streamlining processes, improving customer retention, and growing The Company's footprint across Africa.

Work Activities and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Internal and External Sales Teams, including integration of the DRC team.
- Build and implement structured sales systems, quality procedures, and reporting frameworks.
- Research and develop strategies for expanding into the South African market supported by a strong sales team.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and assign territories to sales talent.
- Create sales plans, analyze data, and report progress to management.
- Ensure all outgoing products meet specifications.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing OEM partners and identify new OEM opportunities during DRC visits.
- Oversee sales coordination, including schedules, documentation, and communication.
- Delegate leads, support administrative tasks, and schedule client engagements.
- Motivate the team and equip them with sales materials.
- Respond to customer queries, manage complaints, and provide after-sales support.
- Maintain secure sales records, reports, budgets, and metrics.
- Process quotes and orders timely and accurately.
- Manage order changes, shipping, and client communication.
- Identify improvement areas and propose solutions.
- Support promotional events and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
- Engage in selling, acquiring new clients, and nurturing existing relationships.
- Handle vendor registrations and approvals in South Africa and other African markets.
- Drive strategic growth into new African regions (Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe).

Skills and Requirements :
- Grade 12
- Diploma / Degree in Sales and Marketing
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous
- 10+ years of proven experience in sales, procurement, or sales administration, preferably in technical, engineering, or industrial sectors
- Technical product knowledge essential
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering environment
- Training in consumer habits, leadership, management, and marketing strategies beneficial
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, proactive problem-solving attitude
- Knowledge of freight forwarding and import/export regulations
- Advanced sales and customer service skills
- Ability to analyze consumer data to optimize sales efforts
