Job Title : Sales & Marketing Assistant
Location : Fully remote.
Working Hours : 9am - 5pm (UK Time Zone).
Reports to : Sales and Marketing Director.
Job Type : Full-time 1 year contractor.
Salary : 1.000 to 1.800 USD per month (depending on the experience)
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Sales and Marketing Assistant to support our growing sales and marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for a self-managing individual who is motivated, enjoys taking ownership, and is excited to contribute to a dynamic team. As the Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in driving our marketing efforts, enhancing content distribution, coordinating campaigns, and managing key administrative sales tasks.
You will be responsible for repurposing content, maintaining our website, managing direct mail campaigns, and tracking key performance metrics.
This role requires strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with freelancers.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Maintenance and Updates
Update website content and copy to ensure accuracy and alignment with brand messaging. Coordinate with web designers, developers, and copywriters on landing page projects, managing timelines, assets, and quality checks. Perform regular quality assurance checks, including monitoring for errors, user testing, and identifying any unexpected changes. - Content Repurposing and Coordination
Assist in content repurposing efforts. Collaborate with freelance graphic designers, video editors, and copywriters to execute approved content ideas. Manage the content calendar, track project progress, and conduct social listening, responding to follower messages to foster community engagement. - User Feedback Collection for Newsletter
Implement feedback collection mechanisms within the quarterly newsletter to gather insights from recipients. Track engagement metrics like open rates and click-throughs and use feedback to recommend content improvements. - Direct Mail Campaign Coordination
Oversee direct mail campaigns from planning to distribution, collecting feedback and monitoring response rates to evaluate effectiveness. - Sales Administrative Support
Monitor the company email account, respond to general inquiries, arrange sales calls, and update HubSpot to track interactions and sales progress. Track and report on sales metrics from leads generated through website forms, newsletters, and direct mail campaigns. - Blog Content Optimization
Work with the SEO specialist and content manager to identify and implement optimizations for high-performing blog content. Review existing blog posts to suggest improvements such as lead magnets, landing pages, and call-to-action updates. - Content Tracking for Director’s Goals
Track content production and consistency for the director’s YouTube, LinkedIn, and blog content. Gather and analyze audience feedback to assess engagement, audience sentiment, and visibility growth.
Requirements
- Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or support role is preferred.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in the following platforms is required:
WordPress for website maintenance
Gmail Suite, including Google Analytics (GA) and Google Search Console (GSC)
HubSpot for CRM management
Mailchimp for email marketing
Social Media Platforms: Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, including content posting, audience engagement, and basic analytics. - Preferred but Not Essential : Familiarity with additional platforms/tools is advantageous: Canva and InDesign for basic graphic design, Asana for project management, SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
- Bonus Skills : Basic design skills are a plus.
- Project Management Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently with a structured and organized approach.
- Digital Marketing Skills : Familiarity with content repurposing, basic SEO principles, and digital engagement strategies.
- Analytical Skills : Proficient in analyzing metrics and using data to inform decisions.
- Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and manage external relationships with freelancers.
- Adaptability : Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to evolving business needs.
- Self-Management : Capable of taking ownership of tasks, managing time independently, and proactively addressing challenges.
