Key Responsibilities

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

  • Assisting with financial reporting and working closely with senior accountants or auditors to prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Conducting independent reviews and being involved in reviewing various client accounts and ensuring that the financial statements are in line with IFRS for SME.
  • Bookkeeping, data capturing, and processing financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assisting with tax compliance and completing tax returns.
  • Conducting research and providing insights on financial and accounting matters.
  • Interacting with clients, responding to queries, and building relationships.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and tax laws.
  • Assisting with ad hoc tasks such as project management, business advisory services, and administrative duties.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Have completed a B.Com/B.Compt degree in SAIPA / Accounting Field.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English, be proactive, and responsible.
  • Be analytical and able to work under pressure.
  • Be diligent, deadline-driven, and focused.
  • Be administratively inclined.
  • Have a solid theoretical and technical background in Accounting, Auditing, and Tax.
  • Be willing and interested in continuing technical growth to become an industry leader.
  • Have keen interest in Financial Year End duties, such as preparing Annual Financial Statements.
  • Be highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.

A new laptop, second screen, and headset will be provided. The successful candidate can join a medical aid scheme after 3 months, with the company contributing R200/month.
