Outsourced CFO is recruiting for SAICA Trainee Accountants to join our team!
As a SAICA Trainee Accountant, your role is designed to offer you comprehensive training and mentorship as you develop key accounting and financial management skills. Over the course of the three-year program, your responsibilities will evolve from basic tasks to more advanced functions, with a gradual reduction in supervision, allowing you to take on increasing responsibility and independence.
Job description:
Client Services:
- Assist with preparing supporting schedules and compiling basic financial statements under supervision.
- Provide limited assistance with independent review working papers and report to seniors.
- Help prepare and develop templates for financial gap analysis, completing sections for senior review.
- Support cloud accounting tasks, including screening investors, preparing pitch decks, and ensuring tax compliance.
- Assist consultants with client deliverables like budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial statement reviews, and audit preparation under supervision.
- Screen investors and provide reporting to seniors, along with handling ad-hoc client requests.
Client Engagement:
- Engage, build, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Attend and participate in regular client meetings as instructed.
- Communicate potential over- or underruns to POD leaders.
Planning & Client admin:
- Plan monthly deliverables for your assigned portfolio.
- Submit timesheets on time, before COB on Fridays.
- Ensure weekly and monthly sign-offs for all projects in your portfolio.
- Regularly update CRM and Zoho projects with client details.

- Regularly attend and participate in company team events.

Training & skills development
- Ensure scheduled training is completed.
- Provide training to team members and trainees at a junior capacity.

- Track and ensure timely submission of LOR and PDS.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this position will have a Bcom Accounting Degree Honours/ CTA equivalent and be based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Head Office: Cape Town City Centre, Western Cape (Fully in office based role)
Fixed Term Contract - Subject to a three-month probation period.
