Job Title: Safety Officer (3-Month Contract)

Our client, a leading company in the pet food manufacturing industry, is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Safety Management or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  3. Registered with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).
  4. HIRA Training (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment).
  5. Incident Investigation Training.
  6. Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and compliance practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the site.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
  3. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
  5. Promote a strong safety culture among all employees.
