Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end import and export logistics for goods across national and international markets.
  • Ensure full compliance with SARS customs regulations, permits, and international trade laws.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, CoO, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal investment teams and portfolio companies to ensure supply chain and trade efficiency.
  • Track and report on costing, duty rates, rebates, tariffs, and HS codes.
  • Resolve customs and shipping delays and handle exception management professionally.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Import/Export Controller (5+ years preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, shipping regulations, and trade compliance.
  • Experience working with international markets and multi-country logistics.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in import/export software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Preferred:
  • Experience working within an investment holding company or across multiple business units.
  • Familiarity with SAP, CargoWise, or similar logistics platforms.
