About the Role

As a Safety Manager, you will play a key role in developing, assessing, and maintaining policies and procedures that help to reduce risk and keep employees safe from harm in the workplace.

Safety managers provide training and guidance for workers and ensure that the workplace complies with OSHA regulations.

Work location: Lithia Springs (Day-Shift)

In this Role You Will:
  1. Identify hazards and eliminate or coordinate mitigation of hazards utilizing hierarchy of controls.
  2. Make frequent tours of the worksite, observing work processes and procedures, engaging employees, correcting safety deficiencies, and coaching.
  3. Create daily safety reports documenting observations and noting any corrective actions.
  4. Inspect and audit JSAs.
  5. Perform monthly audits such as Rigging Inspection, Fall Protection Inspection, Grounding Inspection, Temporary Power GFCI Inspection, and ARC Flash PPE Inspection.
  6. Produce weekly Toolbox Topics relevant to jobsite activities.
  7. Conduct orientations and training.
  8. Handle accident and incident investigations.
  9. Responsible for case management.
Education / Experience:

5+ years of industrial construction experience, OSHA certification, knowledge of State and Local Codes, CFR 29, & NFPA 70E. Ability to conduct incident investigations and determine root causes. Proficient with computers, phones, and office equipment. Strong interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills. Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and active listening. A positive attitude and team management abilities.

Preferred Education & Training:

OSHA certification.
