Le rôle consiste à s'assurer de la conformité avec la législation en matière de santé et sécurité, mener des audits, rédiger des rapports et travailler avec divers clients en optimisant la gestion des risques. Idéalement, le candidat aura au moins 4-6 ans d'expérience et des qualifications appropriées telles que des certificats approuvés par le SETA.

Job description

Well-known health and safety consulting firm is looking for a Safety, Health, and Risk Specialist to join their team in JHB, East Rand.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work within a formalised quality management system, including procedures, document templates, and reporting.
  2. Initiate audits and intervention work based on accepted proposals.
  3. Finalize reports within 5 working days after intervention, as per IMS.
  4. Collect, analyze, evaluate, and distribute client SH&E information according to our audit reporting system.
  5. Chair health and safety meetings.
  6. Prepare accurate reports, including risk assessments and audits.
  7. Plan and schedule interventions with clients.
  8. Apply practical knowledge of the OHS Act 85 of 1993, regulations, SANS 10400, and related standards.
  9. Work in various operational environments, with exposures such as computer work, fall risks, enclosed spaces, heat, noise, poor lighting, chemicals, and electricity.
  10. Ensure quality standards of materials and services.
  11. Meet goals and deadlines set by the Branch Manager.
  12. Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations and laws.
  13. Network to enhance the branch and company's reputation and secure new business.
  14. Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to advise clients accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Grade 12 Certificate at NQF 5 or equivalent (RPL), or a National Certificate/Diploma in HSE.
  2. SETA-approved Health and Safety Representative course.
  3. SETA-approved Risk Assessment course.
  4. At least 4-6 years of experience in a similar role.
  5. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  6. Ability to wear PPE as issued.
  7. Willingness to travel and work away from home.
  8. Excellent knowledge of industry rules, regulations, and building legislation.
  9. Proficiency in English, MS Word, and Access.
  10. Attention to detail, results-driven, and customer-focused.
  11. Ability to assist with additional duties as required.
