MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • N. Dip in Safety Management / Environmental Health
  • SAMTRAC certification
  • Computer Literate
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant SHE experience in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure implementation and compliance with SHE policies and procedures
  • Operate according to standard operating procedures and applicable legislation
  • Implement and maintain adherence to safe working practices and policies
  • Monitor workplace compliance to safety, health, and environmental requirements
  • Maintain health, safety, and security standards consistently
  • Conduct Planned Task Observations and address identified risks
  • Raise awareness in workplaces through influencing and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with SHE management system requirements
  • Organize and support administrative systems and procedures
  • Conduct SHE audits daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Raise and address issues with relevant HODs
  • Identify hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace
  • Perform daily risk assessments and document improvements and necessary changes
  • Manage safety, health, and environmental emergencies
  • Conduct preliminary investigations of workplace incidents
  • Maintain and update SHE Notice Boards
  • Compile and submit monthly SHE reports
