Job summary

Feltex is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Specialist to plan, lead and manage the SHE function across manufacturing and operations facilities in South Africa. You will identify and mitigate risks, drive continuous improvement of SHE performance and ensure consistent implementation of SHE systems nationwide.

The role demands hands-on leadership of SHE policies, procedures and compliance initiatives, with a focus on reducing risk and supporting safe working environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in a SHE Specialist or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SHE strategy and operational plan across national operations.
• Ensure adherence to OHS Act, NEMA, licensing requirements and other SHE standards.

About the Role

Feltex is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Specialist to plan, lead, organise, control and manage the operational execution of the SHE function and processes nationally. The successful incumbent will be responsible for identifying and eliminating all potential risks in the workplace across all manufacturing and operational facilities, ensuring continuous improvement of SHE performance, and maintaining consistent implementation and monitoring of SHE systems....

Key Responsibilities

• SHE Strategy - Achieve the SHE Strategy and Operational Plan in accordance to set targets - SHE Legislation - Ensure adherence to SHE legislation and other requirements (OHS Act and its Regulations, NEMA, Standards, Best Practices, etc.) - Enforce plant compliance with established legal requirements. - Enforce MHI and AEL licensing requirements at Plant level. - Policies and Procedures - Develop, improve, update and maintain SHE Policies, Procedures, Protocols, Work Instructions, Codes of Practice, etc.

Qualifications and Experience

• –5 years’ Experience in a SHE Specialist or similar role

R49 per year · Renews annually until cancelled
