A training organization invites unemployed youth to pursue a career as an artisan through its apprenticeship program, which offers workplace training and a monthly stipend. Candidates aged 18-35, who are South African citizens, may apply to become qualified artisans in various trades after a three-year training program at the Timbadola sawmill.
Applications are invited from unemployed youth interested in pursuing a career as an Artisan. Suitable candidates will have the opportunity to enrol at a recognized Training Centre to develop their skills over three years. Workplace training will take place at our Timbadola sawmill near Louis Trichardt (Makhado).
Apprenticeship programme consists of the following artisans:
Learners will receive a monthly stipend throughout the apprenticeship. In the final selection process, preference will be given to Previously Disadvantaged Individuals, people with disabilities, females, and youth from communities adjacent to our plantations and those with which we have signed social compacts.
Upon successful completion of the occupational knowledge, practical, and workplace training, the Skills Development Act mandates that apprentices undergo a final summative assessment (Trade Test) to become certified as qualified artisans.
