Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to lead community outreach initiatives in Rustenburg, connecting vulnerable populations with social services and resources in the North West province.

You will identify community needs, develop targeted intervention strategies, and foster collaborative relationships with local organizations to empower individuals and families and drive meaningful social change in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work
• Registered with SACSSP (South African Council for Social Service Professions)
• 3–5 years of community-based social work or outreach experience
• Strong understanding of social welfare policies and resources in the North West
• Excellent report writing, presentation and advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team in Rustenburg

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify social issues and service gaps
• Develop and implement outreach programs and case management
• Provide counseling and support to individuals and families
• Facilitate access to healthcare, education, housing and employment services
• Build relationships with community leaders, government agencies and NGOs
• Organize community workshops and awareness campaigns
