Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Social Worker to lead community outreach initiatives in George. You will identify needs within underserved populations and develop targeted programs to address them, serving as a liaison between the community and support services.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience, is a Registered Social Worker, and demonstrates strong skills in needs assessment, program planning, and collaboration with government and NGOs across the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to write reports and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in services and intervention areas.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate community-based programs and support initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops, support groups, and educational sessions for community members.
• Collaborate with local government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to coordinate services.
• Provide case management and counseling to individuals and families.
