Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform translation and interpretation activities between Russian and English.
• Translate technical and non-technical source material.
• Write reports assessing credibility of the source.
• Conduct consecutive interpretation in both directions.

Job Description

• Performs Russian language translation and interpretation activities.
• Reviews, translates, and analyzes Russian language source material of both a technical and nontechnical nature.
• Translates advanced level recorded materials including audio and videotaped programs and technical discussions.
• Writes reports, including opinion as to the credibility of the source, for use by project disciplines.
• Conducts bi-directional consecutive interpretation of target language to English and English to Russian language using phraseology selected to preserve the original intent, meaning, and emphasis.
• Develops and implements translation methodology and quality control procedures and standards.
• Responsible for development and review of finished work.
• Plans work and tracks status of projects.
• Translate and interpret services to facilitate the conversion of Technical, Open Source and materials from Russian to English. Due to the high level of technical subject matters and requirement for precision within the translation of material and interpretation of recorded or live voice interactions
