RSC - Operations Management Trainee EPDC

As an Operations Management Trainee, you will engage in a structured development program to acquire the skills necessary for future leadership roles in operations. The program includes on-the-job coaching, job shadowing, and hands-on experience across various departments including Picking, Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory.

Key Responsibilities :

• Training Program : Complete comprehensive training on business processes, SAP EWM, operational procedures, safety, compliance, and HR.
• Shadowing : Observe and collaborate with experienced managers to learn their roles, decision-making, and problem-solving techniques.
• Team Management : Learn effective team management, structure, discipline, and motivation strategies.
• Operational Efficiency : Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to boost productivity.
• Cross-Departmental Learning : Gain insights into Picking, Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory functions and their integration within the supply chain.
• KPI Understanding : Learn to analyze key performance indicators for informed decision-making.
• Performance Monitoring : Support performance metric analysis to ensure operational excellence.
• Leadership Development : Participate in leadership training to enhance management, communication, and emotional intelligence skills.
• Project Management : Engage in projects aimed at operational optimization.
• Performance Evaluation : Regularly assess your progress and identify areas for growth.

Minimum Requirements :

• Qualifications : 3 year completed Tertiary qualification. (Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration / Advanced Related qualifications)
• Experience : 3 years minimum of practical experience in warehouse or supply chain environment, 5 years preferred
• Certifications : APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma certifications are advantageous.
• Skills and competencies : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software like SAP. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, resilience in a fast-paced environment, Conscientiousness & Reliable, able to evaluate data and to take control
