Our Sales Team is relentless in the pursuit of excellence, ensuring AGCO delivers the best products and services in the industry in the most efficient, cost-effective way. We are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager for our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales activities in the respective regional area to achieve the net sales, gross margin, and market share targets, as agreed with the Head of Sales, Africa. This position may be based in the territory, primarily in Free State and North West.

Your Impact
  • Deliver sales and margin targets according to plans (budget and forecasts) for the territory and product/brand line.
  • Participate in establishing the annual sales plan for the territory and provide operational control of sales.
  • Support the distribution organization within the markets to give AGCO a competitive advantage and deliver superior customer service, in cooperation with the Distribution Development Team.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining aggressive and engaging dealer/distribution sales teams that achieve targets for growth and market presence, and meet objectives for sales and inventory management.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry in the markets and understand the wants and needs of the marketplace.
Your Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of sales-related experience.
  • Good product and competition knowledge with appreciation of machine application.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical aspects of agricultural machinery is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Afrikaans are essential.
