About The Role

The Royalty Accountant, Global Royalties position will maintain relationships with authors, business units, and internal departments.

Primary duties include analyzing and interpreting contracts for royalty terms, ensuring accurate entry of contract terms into the system, processing payments within contractual deadlines, and reconciling sales data for accurate royalty statements.

Responsibilities also include resolving queries, reviewing contracts, supporting system and process improvements, and creating documentation.

Responsibilities

Reconciliation and month-end reporting, including assembling, formatting, and distributing reports, reviewing data for accuracy, and liaising with technical teams for system issues.

Analyzing and interpreting contracts for royalty terms, performing manual calculations, supporting new contractual agreements, and testing system updates.

Managing special projects related to royalty payments, resolving payment issues, and responding to author queries promptly.

Handling royalty payouts, adjustments, and vendor updates, and assisting with miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Studies towards an associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields, or towards a CIMA qualification.

Accredited traineeship.

One to two years of experience in customer service, finance, payables, or contracts-related environments.

Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Willingness to work overtime and in different time zones.
