Job summary

PPC Dwaalboom is seeking a motivated Routine Tester / Physical to join the Quality Assurance team. The role involves collecting and preparing laboratory samples, supporting QA processes, ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining laboratory housekeeping standards.

Candidates should hold a Diploma/Certificate in Chemistry or equivalent and have at least 2 years of process and laboratory experience. A valid driver’s license and fitness are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years process and laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Management and process: Ensure samples collected per schedule are accurately analysed and results published in a timely manner; recognise and report deviations.
• Provide accurate data: complete documentation accurately and in full.
• Housekeeping: clean the lab area, shelves and floor; maintain tidy workstation and clean equipment.
• Provide input in planning and review process and monitor expenses; comply with work rules and minimise waste.
• Team relationships: maintain active relations with all team members and colleagues.
• Personal development and participation in team and peer coaching: complete IDP and attend courses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and preparing laboratory samples, supporting quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining laboratory housekeeping standards

Qualification

• Diploma/Certificate in Chemistry or equivalent

Experience

• 2 years process and laboratory experience

• ISO EMS 14001 2015, QMS 9001 and OHS45001 2018 systems

Duties and Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Management and process - Ensure that samples collected as per schedule and are accurately analysed and that results are published / distributed in a timely manner.
  Recognise and report on deviations in a timely manner.
• Provide accurate data - Complete documentation accurately and in full.
• Housekeeping - Clean the lab area, shelves and floor. Ensure the work station is clean and tidy at all times. Pick up any material lying around. Ensure that laboratory test equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Provide input in planning and review process and monitor expenses - Provide input into planning and review process (INVOCOM) where required. Comply with work rules, standards and methods. Take care to minimise waste.
• Team relationships - Maintain active and informative relations with all team members and colleagues.
• Personal development and participation in team and peer coaching - Complete Individual Development Plan. Attend learning and development courses. Participate in peer and team learning initiatives
