Placements24 is seeking a Graduate Trainee Mechanical Engineer to join its Welkom-based team in a rotational program across design, maintenance, and project management within manufacturing and industrial settings.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Solid understanding of mechanical principles and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with CAD software is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to Welkom-based challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of mechanical systems and components.
• Support maintenance and repair activities for industrial machinery.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Conduct performance testing and analysis of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality control.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for projects.
