Placements24 in East London is seeking an innovative Robotics Engineer with a focus on AI Integration to join our advanced development team. You will be responsible for integrating AI into robotic systems to enable smarter autonomous behaviors and improved operational efficiency.

You will design, implement and test AI algorithms for perception, navigation and decision-making, work in a hands-on environment with ROS, C++ and Python, and collaborate with hardware engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of robotics development experience with focus on AI integration.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python with ROS experience.
• Proficiency with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
• Experience with sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs) and data fusion.
• Understanding of control theory and motion planning is desirable.

Responsibilities
