Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to lead AI integration for autonomous robotic systems in a hybrid work setting. You will design, implement and test software for perception, navigation, and decision-making on embedded platforms.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in robotics software with strong C++/Python skills, ROS, and hands-on experience with computer vision, sensor fusion and motion planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Robotics, EE or related field.
• 3+ years of robotics software experience with AI/ML integration.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; ROS experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion and motion planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI modules (e.g., computer vision, path planning) into robotic systems.
• Design and implement robust software for robot control, navigation and task execution.
• Work with simulation environments to test and validate robotic behaviors and AI algorithms.
• Optimize software for real-time operation on embedded robotic platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software and AI integration issues.
