Robotic Technicians (PLC & Robots)

Introduction

An international automotive OEM is looking for Robotic Technicians to be based in Pretoria. Their purpose is to ensure Equipment Availability is at 98%, analyze Top Constraints, solve issues using 6-SIGMA Methodology, and optimize Facility to ensure volume targets and improve Mean-Time-Between-Failures.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintain the facility by completing all scheduled/planned Maintenance with 100% completion.
2. Identify all corrective maintenance activities and adopt a proactive approach with 100% completion.
3. Manage an effective approach to Emergency Maintenance downtime.
4. Conduct effective Root Cause Analysis toward downtime.
5. Adhere to all Safety Standard Regulations.
6. Total Maintenance of all TCF (Trim, Chassis, and Final Line) equipment, including fault finding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) controlled circuits and modifications thereof.
7. Focus on constraint areas to eliminate the constraint.
8. Ensure Production uptime within departmental objectives.
9. Ensure safety compliance at all times.
10. Perform PM and CM scrubbing.
11. 4D reporting on MFM.
12. Assist Artisans with problem-solving and repairs of problematic equipment in their related field.
13. Modify PLC software circuits; Siemens PLCs are used in the TCF department.
14. Assist with project work related to new equipment introduction/commissioning.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. N6 Plus Electrical / Mechanical / Millwright Trade Certificate and/or Equivalent (Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial and Mechanical) National diploma.
2. 5 years of maintenance experience in a Manufacturing or automotive production sector.
3. Programming and Fault Finding experience in Siemens PLCs, SEW Drives, and ABB/Kawasaki Robots.
4. TIA Pro 1 / Pro 2 Certificates.
5. Fault-finding ability.
6. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with Excel competency.
7. Siemens PLC fault finding and programming skills.
8. ABB/Kawasaki Robot fault finding and programming skills.
9. HMI fault finding and programming skills.
10. SEW Frequency Drive fault finding and programming skills.
11. Fault finding skill and knowledge on filling machines (Optional).
12. Sealer application and fault-finding thereof.

Package & Remuneration

R336 per hour excluding car allowance, medical aid, provident fund, and shift allowances.
