Reputable automotive manufacturing company based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Requirements

1. Degree or BTech in Electrical Engineering (NQF 6)
2. At least 5 years' experience in engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment
3. Pneumatic knowledge (advantageous)
4. Robotics experience (ABB) (advantageous)
5. Minimum 5 years' electrical problem-solving experience
6. Process control experience
7. Planning, organizing, and controlling skills

Responsibilities

1. PLC programming and administration (Siemens S7, TIA)
2. AGV programming and support (Hikrobot, Geek+, Casun)
3. Barcode scanner configuration and support
4. Torque tool configuration and support (Atlas Copco)
5. Critical spares management
6. Compliance with OHS Act regulations and other legislation
7. Involvement with all new projects
8. Writing of applicable work instructions
9. Carrying out maintenance schedules for production machinery and services (Electrical and Mechanical)
10. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
11. Executing work orders within specified timeframes
12. Performing quality workmanship with no rework
13. Ensuring safety regulations are followed during all work
14. Speedily rectifying breakdowns and managing after-hours call outs
15. Participating in weekly shift and standby duties as per roster
16. Updating Maintenance Manager on potential breakdowns and safety threats
17. Adhering to company HSEE policy
18. Performing shift and standby call-out duties
19. Working overtime as required and approved by management
