Placements24 seeks a diligent Site Engineer for road construction projects in the Nelspruit area. You will supervise civil works on site, ensure adherence to plans, and coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and the site team to deliver quality road infrastructure in Mpumalanga.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach, strong technical knowledge of road construction methods, and effective communication skills to support on-site safety and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in road construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of road construction methods, materials, and surveying techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage civil engineering construction activities on site, particularly roadworks.
• Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks of materials and workmanship.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate site activities.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and assist with quantity surveying.
• Resolve technical issues and conflicts that arise during construction.
