LexisNexis Legal & Professional in Cape Town is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to shape a global CI/CD platform. You will partner with engineering teams to build secure, scalable delivery pipelines using IaC, automation, and modern DevOps practices.

You will mentor teammates, influence platform standards, and drive secure, observable software delivery across cloud environments, with hands-on expertise in Jenkins, Terraform, and containerized workflows.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong experience designing and supporting CI/CD platforms, with expertise in Jenkins and modernizing pipelines.
• Strong Python skills, including building reusable tooling and automation and have a good understanding of container and deployment practices such as Docker, ECR, GitOps, and blue/green deployments.
• Experience integrating security, quality, and compliance controls into engineering workflows.
• Experience improving observability using Open Telemetry or similar monitoring practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience supporting platform and pipeline issues, including critical incidents.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with experience working across global teams.
• Practical experience using AI tools in engineering workflows to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps, and exposure to Kubernetes including troubleshooting in containerized environments.

About the Role

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving a global CI/CD platform. You will partner with engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and reliable delivery pipelines, leveraging infrastructure as code, automation, and modern DevOps practices. This role offers the opportunity to influence platform standards, improve developer experience, and enable efficient, consistent software delivery across cloud environments.
