Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions in South Africa is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable platforms. You will partner with engineering, security, and platform teams to raise operational excellence and automate pipelines.

You will own incident management, define SLIs/SLOs, implement disaster recovery, and drive observability and security tooling across cloud and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Equivalent practical experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrated background in platform engineering, including building internal tools, self-service infrastructure, or developer platforms.
• Strong hands‑on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration management.
• Practical experience with DevSecOps, integrating security scanning, secrets management, and compliance automation into deployment pipelines.
• Solid understanding of networking, distributed systems, and Linux systems administration.
• Experience leading incident response and driving postmortem processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with observability and security tooling, and the ability to contribute to technical roadmaps and architecture decisions.

About the Role
