Tiko seeks an individual consultant to support risk management for our Johannesburg operations over the next three months.

The Job

The Risk Management Consultant at Tiko will oversee and enhance our risk management framework to ensure operational integrity and security.

Scope of work:

  1. Familiarize with Tiko's operational procedures and objectives, including current arrangements.
  2. Understand platform risk management processes, including fraud prevention, detection, and response controls, supported by the risk dashboard and data points.
  3. Active risk management activities, including:
  • Data verification: Collect data from primary registers, analyze, and identify gaps in record keeping against platform validations (e.g., contraceptives, mental health, HIV testing and treatment).
  • Random audits and spot checks: Monitor platform activities in high-activity areas or facilities.
  • Sample call verification: Confirm service uptake and actor compliance through beneficiary calls.
  • Conduct actor audits and investigations as needed.
  • Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders to improve controls and compliance.
  • Follow-up on recommendations with relevant stakeholders.

About you

You are detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, thorough in your work, and timely in completing tasks.

Ideally, you meet the following criteria:

  • 3+ years experience in health data monitoring and evaluation.
  • Understanding of public health data quality management (formal qualifications are a plus).
  • Clear and concise communication skills, especially in reporting findings.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and offer practical solutions.

This role is for three months, with a gross monthly salary range of R38,000 - R42,000.
