Job description

Operations & Governance Support

• Support the ERM function across all risk types.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including risk champions, to promote a culture of risk awareness and reporting.
• Conduct risk identification, assessment, and management using tools such as risk registers, surveys, KRIs, RCSAs, and root cause analysis of risk events.
• Review and challenge business outputs, including but not limited to ORSA.
• Participate in forums and committees, ensuring timely follow-up and action delivery.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive risk reports, utilizing risk management systems and data visualization tools.
• Assist the CRO in ensuring that cluster reporting is accurate, timely, and comprehensive, covering all relevant elements of the risk framework for management and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate the ORSA process.
• Ensure the Risk Management Framework remains fit for purpose and aligns with global standards and best practices.
• Support governance bodies' operation and produce regular and ad hoc reports for ERM and other stakeholders.
• Assist the Combined Assurance Forum (CAF) by preparing ERM submissions, collating inputs from assurance providers, and managing action items.
• Contribute to building ERM knowledge and maintain documentation and records.
• Liaise with ERM systems and data stakeholders to ensure quality and governance.
• Conduct risk training sessions for stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications Required

• Knowledge and practical experience in Financial Services, preferably non-life insurance.
• Degree in risk management, insurance, accounting, or related field.
• Interest in various risk types, including insurance, operational, and market risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MIS tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Experience in drafting reports and papers.
• Exposure to ORSA processes and risk management tools such as MI, KRIs, and risk reviews.
• Experience working with assurance providers like Audit and Compliance.
• Familiarity with risk-to-capital modeling and understanding statistical approaches' uses and limitations.
