As the Rigger, you will provide specialised engineering technical services in the area of responsibility and direct all on-site logistics relating to unique and substantial hoisting operations.

Job Description

• Rigging studies and risk assessments of all complicated lifts.
• Supervise rigging team.
• Manage all rigging and crane activities onsite.
• Clearly define scope of work.
• Following the planning and ensuring that equipment is in good working condition and ensuring correct equipment is used for the correct jobs.
• Ensuring personal and team workplace practices are safe, efficient and maintain a high safety standard throughout all work practices.
• Inspecting rigging equipment for any defects before use.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Technical Trade Specific N3
• Rigger Trade Certificate
• Crane Inspection Training
• AAP SIMM inspectors course (advantageous)
• Advance Scaffolding Erection (advantageous)
• Advanced Scaffolding Inspection (advantageous)
