Title: Revenue and Sales Operations Manager

Location: Remote / Hybrid (Within South Africa). Must be available to work USA East Coast hours until at least 2pm / 9pm EST daily.

Reporting To: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) / Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Role Overview:

The Revenue Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing our CRM systems supporting revenue intelligence and sales operations for both new business (hunting) and existing account management (farming) teams. The US sales team comprises approximately 25 members. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator who can drive efficiency, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance revenue growth strategies. This individual will manage sales forecasting, pipeline analyses, compensation planning including commission reporting, and deliver actionable data-driven insights to optimize revenue operations and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll oversee:

  1. CRM Management
  2. Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management
  3. Sales Commission Planning / Reporting
  4. Sales & Revenue Analytics

CRM Management:

  • Own and optimize Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRM platforms to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and usability.
  • Develop and enforce CRM best practices, sales enablement tools, and automation strategies.
  • Support sales teams with training and adoption of tools like Outreach, SalesLoft, Clari, and Gong.
  • Perform pipeline analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance forecasting accuracy.

Compensation Planning & Reporting:

  • Design, manage, and refine sales commission structures and incentive plans.
  • Ensure accurate, transparent commission reporting and performance tracking.
  • Align incentive plans with strategic business objectives.
  • Analyze sales metrics such as CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and churn.
  • Build dashboards, analytics, and reports to support revenue teams and leadership.
  • Provide insights into sales effectiveness, deal velocity, revenue trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify gaps in sales processes and recommend data-backed solutions.
  • Serve as an operational advisor to the CRO / COO, delivering actionable insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Account Executive teams.
  • Align revenue operations with business goals and GTM strategy.
  • Influence stakeholders and drive process adoption.
  • Train sales teams on new tools and best practices.
  • Lead change management initiatives for system and process updates.

Key Performance Indicators / Goals & Desired Impact:

  • Improve sales forecasting accuracy and pipeline visibility.
  • Streamline sales processes and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance sales reporting quality and effectiveness.
  • Strengthen data analytics capabilities for strategic growth.
  • Optimize compensation structures to motivate sales performance.

Minimum Skills & Proficiencies Required:

  • Based in South Africa, available until at least 2:00 pm EST.
  • Proficiency in CRM, Excel, and analytical tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Power BI, etc.).
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to data integrity.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business acumen with knowledge of SaaS metrics, deal structuring, and revenue forecasting.
  • Leadership and training capabilities.
  • Process optimization and automation experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in Technology, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, or SaaS industries.
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue models.
  • SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in multinational companies and revenue operations methodologies.
  • Adaptability, proactive thinking, and collaboration skills.
