Placements24 is seeking a creative Visual Merchandiser for Randburg, Gauteng. The role involves creating visually appealing in-store displays, translating brand guidelines into presentations, and supporting merchandising strategies across multiple stores on a hybrid basis.

The candidate should have a strong aesthetic sense, a solid portfolio, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Regular store visits and off-site planning are part of the role, based in Randburg area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar creative retail role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing visual merchandising work.
• Excellent understanding of visual design principles, color theory, and space planning.
• Knowledge of retail trends and consumer behavior.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute compelling in-store visual merchandising displays and window presentations according to brand standards.
• Develop and implement store layout plans to optimize product placement and customer flow.
• Select and arrange merchandise, fixtures, and props to create attractive and engaging displays.
• Collaborate with marketing and buying teams to ensure visual merchandising strategies align with product launches and promotional campaigns.
• Stay updated on the latest visual merchandising trends, techniques, and industry best practices.
• Train and guide store staff on visual merchandising standards and execution.
• Manage inventory of visual merchandising materials and props.
• Ensure all displays are maintained to a high standard and updated regularly.
• Travel to various store locations within the Gauteng region as needed for merchandising execution.
