Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage customer interactions, complaints, and requests.
  2. Optimize selling space and drive replenishment to ensure stock availability.
  3. Conduct floor walks to ensure housekeeping disciplines are adhered to.
  4. Meet or exceed sales targets.
  5. Reduce wastage and improve stock accuracy within benchmarks to enhance gross profit (GP).
  6. Reduce controllable expenses in line with budgets to improve net profit (NP).
  7. Interpret income statement information and formulate actionable plans.
  8. Identify challenges, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Store Disciplines & Productivity:

  1. Achieve and improve upon monthly store audit benchmarks.
  2. Manage stock control and stock management effectively.
  3. Implement effective cash handling procedures and controls.

Leadership and Development:

  1. Foster a performance development culture and enhance team effectiveness.
  2. Lead, develop, and coach team members.
  3. Understand and apply basic industrial relations (IR) principles.

Job Specifications:

  1. Grade 12 qualification.
  2. Business or administrative qualification; a retail management diploma or degree is advantageous.
  3. Minimum of 5 years retail experience, including 2-3 years managerial experience in sales, merchandising, and administration.
  4. Genuine interest in health and wellness; ability to serve as a brand ambassador.
  5. Proficiency in computer literacy.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Willingness to work weekends and extended retail hours.
  8. Proficiency in stock management, cost control, and cost management.
  9. Own transport is essential.
  10. Competency assessment achieved.
