Job summary
Brewers Decorator Centres is opening a brand-new Lewes Road store and inviting friendly, reliable people to join as a Retail Sales Advisor. You will deliver exceptional service in-store and attract new business, supporting our decorating range and showing product knowledge.
The role is 20 hours per week over 3 days, with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Training opportunities are available.
Qualifications
- Customer service and communication skills essential.
- Retail experience advantageous but not required.
- Willingness to train as Fire Marshall/First Aider if needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to customers in branch.
- Use product knowledge to make recommendations.
- Mix paint for customers and process orders.
- Develop sales of decor products including wallpaper and paint.
- Build relationships to identify customer needs.
- Promote seasonal items and merchandize in-store.
- Assist with stock maintenance and arrange deliveries.
- Unload deliveries and distribute stock in-store.

We are thrilled to announce that we are due to open a brand-new Brewers Decorator Centre in Lewes Road this summer and we have a very exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Part Time Retail Sales Advisor, to join this new team to provide exceptional service to our customers in store and bring in new business in the area! Our new Lewes Road store will support our continued development in the South East, as the premier decorating destination for professional decorators and home décor enthusiasts! The store will stock an extensive product range which includes trade and designer paint brands such as Armstead, Crown, Dulux, Farrow & Ball, Little Green, Johnstones, Sadolin as well as our own brand, Albany. Store opening hours will Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm. - Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service
- Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs
- Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
- Developing sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric
- Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
- Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
- Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch
- Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
- Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
- Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
- Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
- Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
- Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate
