Retail Operations Manager | Joburg | Apparel Retail Brand

Apparel Retail Brand in Joburg is seeking an experienced RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER to join their team. The Retail Operations Manager position will be responsible to strategically drive results to ensure that each store within the region achieves maximum sales, productivity and profit goals through effective leadership, effective communication, world class service, effective talent management, merchandising excellence, and operational compliance. To motivate teams and to create a vibrant, energetic store environment. The Operations Manager will report to the Regional Manager. The position will be based at head office in Joburg but you will be required to travel to stores and nationally from time to time.

Requirements:

1. A combination of or equivalent to the completion of post-secondary education
2. Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Retail Area Manager / Senior Store Manager / Operations Manager preferably in the fashion brand environment
3. Strong sales experience
4. Proficient in Microsoft applications
5. Must be sales focused with a proven sales track record
6. Strong problem solving skills and proven ability to use your own initiative
7. Knowledge and ability to effectively apply company strategy/ policy/ procedure at store level
8. Outstanding leadership skills
9. Ability to manage a functional team
10. GO-GETTER attitude and positive outlook on life
11. Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
12. Good report writing
13. High level of organisation
14. Good interpersonal skills

17. Drivers licence and own vehicle – travelling is required
