ACDC Dynamics, a leading manufacturer, importer, and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager.

Purpose of the Role

The Retail Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the branch. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, create store policies, and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintains high store standards and conditions and fosters a positive environment.

Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Forecasts staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage retail staff, including floor staff and cashiers
  • Meet financial goals by analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, formulating pricing policies, and scheduling expenditures
  • Ensure pricing accuracy
  • Attend trade shows to identify new services and products
  • Recruit, coach, counsel, discipline, and train employees
  • Evaluate staff performance
  • Identify market trends appealing to customers
  • Ensure products are clean and ready for display
  • Approve contracts with store vendors
  • Maintain inventory and ensure stock availability
  • Ensure promotions are accurate and align with company standards
  • Use computers to record sales figures, analyze data, and plan ahead
  • Ensure health and safety measures are met
  • Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards

Organize and distribute staff schedules

  • Preside over staff meetings
  • Motivate and encourage retail sales staff to achieve targets
  • Handle customer complaints, issues, and questions
