SUMMARY :

Retail Manager - Retail - Witbank

As our company expands, we are looking to hire Retail Store Managers for our retail stores! The purpose of this role is for the Retail Manager to oversee all store operations, lead the team, and ensure smooth functioning while optimizing profits.

POSITION INFO : QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 (Requirement)
  • Diploma / Degree in Retail, Business, or related field (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Management of inventory, stock, buying, staff, product merchandising, costs, and profitability.
  • Knowledge of stock management systems like ERP, Meat Matrix, etc.
  • Understanding of FMCG environment and related legislation.
  • Management of perishable products, especially in the meat industry.
  • Basic understanding of retail consumer behavior and purchasing trends.
  • Knowledge of the retail and meat markets.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Understanding of financial statements, cash flows, and stock management reporting.

    • Maintain cleanliness and HACCP standards throughout the store.
    • Observe OHSA regulations.
  • Employee Management
    • Recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and wellness.
  • Store Organisation
    • Product display, merchandising, and managing non-moving items.
  • Cash Management
    • Manage daily cash-ups, cash safety, and ATM cash.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent service, handle complaints, and analyze customer behavior to improve satisfaction.
  • System Administration
    • Manage staff clocking, Meat Matrix, CCTV, security systems, and alarm systems.
