Sales & Customer Experience
Drive sales performance and achieve store targets.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects the Norman Goodfellows brand.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations with professionalism.
Operations & Compliance
Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, liquor licensing, health & safety, and legal requirements.
Manage stock control, ordering, receiving, and shrinkage management.
Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and promotional displays meet company standards.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, motivate, and manage store staff.
Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback.
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
Financial & Reporting
Manage budgets, expenses, and cost control.
Analyse sales data and prepare reports for management.
Drive profitability through effective resource allocation and cost management.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Commercial awareness and sales-driven mindset.
Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Knowledge of stock management and retail systems (POS, inventory software).
Matric/Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification in Retail/Business Management advantageous).
Minimum 3–5 years’ retail management experience, preferably in liquor, FMCG, or premium lifestyle retail.
Proven track record of achieving sales and managing high-performing teams.
Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
