As a prominent REIT, they seek an adept Leasing Specialist to bolster their Johannesburg team in the role of Retail Leasing Executive. Reporting directly to the National Retail Asset Manager, you'll spearhead tenant retention and minimize vacancies within the retail portfolio, driving sustained property income and growth. Your responsibilities encompass crafting and executing a comprehensive leasing strategy encompassing vacancy reduction, optimizing tenant mix, maximizing property income, lease renewals, and fostering redevelopment opportunities.

Success in this role hinges upon a solid grasp of legal, FICA, and town planning principles, along with fluency in retailer trading performance metrics, property valuation, and asset management. You'll need 8-10 years of relevant property brokering experience, on the landlord side coupled with a knack for strategy implementation, corporate reporting, and development initiatives. Complemented by a degree in business management, property, accounting, or related fields, strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to deftly navigate conflicts in demanding environments.
