You will conduct cycle counts, oversee receiving and stocking, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage while supporting sales staff with replenishment. A detail-oriented approach and proficiency with POS systems are essential.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Retail Inventory Specialist to manage stock operations for their store in Kimberley . This role is vital for ensuring accurate inventory levels, minimizing stock discrepancies, and supporting efficient store operations. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, conducting cycle counts, managing stockroom organization, and implementing inventory control procedures. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining operational accuracy within the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical stocktakes.
• Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and stocking of merchandise, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the inventory system.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock counts.
• Manage stockroom organization, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient storage environment.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
• Collaborate with sales staff and management to ensure adequate stock levels and efficient product replenishment on the sales floor.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory management , stock control, or a similar role within a retail setting.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, systems, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and POS systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to stocking and inventory counts, including lifting up to 15kg.
• A detail-oriented approach and a commitment to operational integrity.
