Job summary

Afrique Connection Consultancy invites a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join its Paarden Eiland, Cape Town team. You will own retail design projects from concept through final implementation, translating briefs into spatial designs balancing creativity, functionality, and brand experience.

You will collaborate with the Creative Director and clients, lead and mentor junior designers, and manage projects under pressure with an out-of-the-box approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 5+ years’ experience in a retail design environment.
• Experience leading a design team.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD and Photoshop.
• Revit would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead retail interior design projects from concept through to final implementation.
• Translate briefs and ideas into spatial designs that balance creativity, functionality, brand and customer experience.
• Work closely with the Creative Director and clients throughout each project.
• Lead, guide and support junior designers.
