Job summary

Afrique Connection Consultancy invites a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join its Paarden Eiland, Cape Town team. You will own retail design projects from concept through final implementation, translating briefs into spatial designs balancing creativity, functionality, and brand experience.

You will collaborate with the Creative Director and clients, lead and mentor junior designers, and manage projects under pressure with an out-of-the-box approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 5+ years’ experience in a retail design environment.
• Experience leading a design team.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD and Photoshop.
• Revit would be an advantage.

About the role

Our client is an established retail design consultancy with over 30 years' experience designing retail spaces for some of South Africa's best-known retail brands. They are looking for a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join their team in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town.

You'll take ownership of projects from concept through to final implementation, translating ideas into spatial designs that balance creativity, functionality, brand and customer experience. You'll work closely with the Creative Director, junior designers and clients.
