Purpose of the Role
- We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join our growing Retail team to assist with reporting on all retail metrics. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, focused on accuracy, and possess strong analytical skills. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Reporting:
- Preparing relevant sales reports.
- Analyzing and highlighting trends in sales performance.
- Contributing to the development of accurate and relevant sales forecasts.
- Financial Reporting:
- Preparing and issuing financial reports (e.g., budget variance, store expense reports).
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and leading indicators for overspending.
- Assist in Cost Allocations and People Metrics:
- Reporting on all relevant retail people metrics.
- Calculating and submitting retail incentives as required by policy.
- Annual Budgets:
- Contributing to the development of annual budgets.
- Communicating approved budgets to all retail expense owners.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Data Management:
- Maintaining accurate financial records, updating databases, and managing spreadsheets.
- Process Improvement:
- Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes and procedures.
- Communication:
- Communicating financial information to non-finance staff and stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- B. Comm (Accounting) or equivalent finance-related qualification.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in retail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills for meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
